What You'll Do
As a Lead Auditor, you will be a trusted compliance expert supporting aerospace and defense clients.
  • Perform and document:
    • Pre-audits
    • Registration audits
    • Re-audits
    • Surveillance audits
      in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and company procedures
  • Lead audit teams and ensure successful completion of assigned audit projects
  • Review audit reports, responses to nonconformities, and technical documentation; submit findings to internal leadership and stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate compliance issues, standards, and regulatory expectations to client leadership (written and verbal)
  • Evaluate product and process nonconformances against specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
  • Continuously expand technical expertise across aerospace quality and compliance disciplines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned while meeting TKANA employee competencies

Who We're Looking For
This role is ideal for a quality-focused aerospace professional who wants to expand into CMMC, data security, and advanced regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aerospace, or a related discipline
    (Equivalent education and/or experience considered)
  • 4+ years of aerospace industry experience
    • Including at least 2 years in quality assurance and regulatory affairs
  • Minimum of 2 years conducting regulatory compliance audits
  • AS9100, AS9110, or AS9120 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Experience auditing DoD manufacturing facilities or service providers
  • Experience with and understanding of:
    • AS9100
    • ITAR
    • EAR
    • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interpret procedures, standards, and regulatory documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, executive leadership, and regulatory personnel
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically
    (Valid passport and driver's license required)
  • Safety-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-171 and/or CMMC
  • Experience assessing an organization's ability to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Broad knowledge of domestic and international regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong interest in growing into cybersecurity and CMMC-focused auditing
