Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring an Indiana Radiologic Technologist license and at least 1 year of CT experience.

Details
  • Hospital-based Radiology Diagnostics department serving ED, OP, and IP units
  • 40 licensed bed facility with 10 swing beds
  • Monthly department volume of approximately 439 exams
  • Patient ratio of 1:1
  • 4-day, 10-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday-Thursday, with negotiable start/end times
  • Every 5th weekend requires a day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Weeknights before and after the weekend rotation are reduced to 3 shifts totaling 28 hours
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • Works independently as the sole Rad Tech in house for most of the shift
  • Performs ER and inpatient diagnostic x-ray imaging
Requirements
  • Indiana Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
  • ARRT certification, R.T.(R)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience with CT competencies
  • Driver's license with permanent home address required for consideration, address must match ID
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include transporting patients for imaging, performing ordered imaging tests, processing appropriate charges, and completing exams in a timely manner for radiologist dictation and report turnaround
  • Caribbean blue scrub color required
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
  • Candidates with gaps in work history of 90 or more days within the past 12 months will not be considered
  • Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
  • RTO requests must be less than 1 week
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
