Job Summary:

The Quality Control Lead will be responsible for supporting the QC Manager in maintaining a high level of customer and consumer satisfaction by assuring consistent quality. The ideal candidate will apply a knowledge of food safety and quality, GFSI schemes, and second/third party auditing knowledge to meet business needs under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director. This role offers responsibility, variety, and satisfaction that your role makes a real impact on our success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Quality Assurance team with implementing various quality systems (SQF, Organic, kosher, RSPO, UTZ, etc.)
  • Support the QC Manager on large projects and improve consistency, efficiency, and product quality
  • Work towards achieving and maintaining GFSI certification
  • Implement training based off of audit deficiencies and customer complaints
  • Provide support for qualityrelated training for all departments
  • Communicate nonconforming products to appropriate personnel
  • Participate in internal audits for compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and regulations.
  • Participate actively in technology transfer, method qualification and validation
  • Perform all additional Quality Control tasks as required on the production lines
  • Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • HACCP and PCQI Certified
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Requirements:
  • 23 years of Strong Regulatory, Recall and Labeling knowledge
  • Relevant work experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or food processing industry field.
  • GMP experience in manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Experienced with GFSI and HACCP Scheme (SQF, BRC)
  • 23 years supervisory experience (including conducting performance evaluations)
  • Good Communication skills
  • Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and training.
  • Attention to details and be vigilant to detect process/product variations
  • The ability to solve practical problems or issues and report in a higher level
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in environments with loud machinery for extended periods of time Strong collection and negotiation skills
