Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel RN) โ€“ Sun City Center, Florida

Travel RN opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse in Sun City Center, FL, in the Tampa Bay area. Sun City Center (33573) offers a welcoming Florida setting with convenient access to Tampa Bay amenities and year-round sunshine. Join a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab and bring your expertise in patient-focused cardiac care, procedural nursing, and team collaboration to a supportive clinical setting.

  • Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
  • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
  • Location: Sun City Center, Florida (Tampa Bay area)
  • Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Weekly Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours; scheduled in accordance with facility needs
  • On-Call: Required, approximately 12-15 days per month
  • Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Experience with scrub, monitor, and circulating roles preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively, and remain flexible in a dynamic procedural environment
  • Comfort working in a team-focused, high-acuity cardiac care setting
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Assist with cardiovascular procedures including left heart cath, PCI, pacemakers, TEE, stress testing, and loop recorders
  • Support scrub, monitor, and circulating functions as needed
  • Deliver safe, efficient patient care while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Follow unit policies, procedure protocols, and scheduling expectations
  • Participate in on-call coverage, holiday rotation, and every-other-weekend coverage as assigned
