• Job Details:
• Job Title: Field Service Engineer
• Client: Industrial Machinery Manufacturing
• Working Location: Reno, NV
• Travel : up to 75% throughout assigned territory/nationwide
• Employment Type: Permanent/Full-time

What will you do:
• Install, configure, commission, and start up SMT and industrial automation equipment at customer sites.
• Perform equipment retrofits, upgrades, and custom modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and process-related issues both onsite and remotely.
• Provide advanced technical support to minimize customer downtime and escalate complex issues to engineering teams when needed.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer personnel.
• Advise customers on process optimization, preventive maintenance, and equipment efficiency improvements.
• Collect and analyze technical data to support troubleshooting, reliability tracking, and continuous process improvement.
• Prepare detailed service reports and technical documentation while communicating findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight and short-notice travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical education, military training, and relevant experience.
• Experience with SMT equipment or similar industrial automation machinery preferred.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and mechatronic system diagrams.
• Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, software installation, and system configuration.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and modern computing applications.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
