General Job Description
IES Residential is hiring an experienced Electrical Lead - Single Family to lead residential electrical operations in the South Atlanta area. If you're a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for developing teams, this is your opportunity to grow with a nationally recognized company.
Position Overview
The Electrical Lead is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, managing crews, coordinating projects, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to code. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct residential electrical crews on single-family construction projects
  • Assist with daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of manpower and jobsite activities
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC requirements, local codes, and company quality standards
  • Serve as a field liaison between electricians, builders, and project management teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues in the field
  • Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Conduct toolbox talks and participate in safety meetings
  • Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete projects efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management and material tracking
  • Train and mentor apprentice and journeyman electricians
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, including work orders, inspections, and job progress reports
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and quality
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet customer expectations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent field experience preferred
  • 3+ years of residential electrical experience, including single-family new construction
  • Previous leadership experience as a Leadman, Crew Leader, Foreman, or similar role preferred
  • Valid Georgia electrical license preferred (if applicable)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and residential electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and electrical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Work Environment
  • Field-based role on active residential construction sites and occupied homes
  • Travel required throughout the South Atlanta area
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
  • Work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces as needed
