Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and seasoned Traveling Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities at various project sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Supervision: Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction to completion of Certificate of Occupancy and punch.
  • Site Management and Layout: Ensure the efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project goals.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure work meets or exceeds project specifications.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and potential delays, and taking proactive measures to keep projects on track.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a culture of safety on all job sites, ensuring compliance with all Deerfield and relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication among project teams, subcontractors, and clients to address issues and provide project updates.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues and challenges to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites for the duration of each project.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Ability to implement plans and specifications, layout and total control of the job site and schedule.
  • Experience in restaurant, petroleum, retail and other “fast track” construction is a plus.
  • Long term employment commitment/relationship.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred).
