Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active PA or Compact RN license.

Details
  • unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient population consists primarily of a mix of Medical-Surgical Telemetry and PCU patients
  • Patient ratios of 5-6:1
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
  • Floating required within the hospital as well as to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active PA or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Cerner charting system experience preferred
  • SSN, DOB, and RTO information required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide telemetry nursing care to a mix of Medical-Surgical and PCU patients, including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
  • Responsibilities may include IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen administration), wound care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Must be available to work every other holiday
  • Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
  • Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
  • Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though the same schedule cannot be guaranteed
  • Fingerprinting, drug screen, required labs, and demographic sheet must be completed shortly after signing and prior to start
  • Two supervisor references preferred
