Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a day shift Medical Oncology position in Ohio, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and prior oncology experience.

Details
  • Medical oncology inpatient unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 80 hours per pay period
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
  • ADN or BSN required
  • CPR/BLS certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of start)
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to calculate, prepare, and administer medications and assess resulting patient reactions
Additional Information
  • Plans, provides, and/or supervises nursing care of oncology patients under the direction of a medical oncologist
  • Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and departments while adhering to infection control policies
  • Administers prescribed medications and provides treatment based on physician orders
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to or at the time of submission to be honored
  • Returning travelers who have worked at this facility within the past 9 months may be considered for alternate start dates
