Primary Job Function:
Interface with all levels of plant personnel to ensure customer requirements and product quality are met. Prepare documentation and provide support for new program part launches and process changes including PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, etc. Interface with all aspects of the plant to ensure product quality is being met.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Schedule, coordinate and report in cross-functional meetings to address internal and external concerns.
  • Interface with quality supervisors to ensure all quality checks are addressing the key characteristics of the product.
  • Support in all aspects of corrective actions (on time closures, repeat concerns, root cause, etc).
  • Responsible for meeting customer targets.
  • Support quality dimensional team to ensure dimensional stability being met as per customer requirements. Mean shifts and SPC data.
  • Make decisions and advise on an on-going basis to insure customer and management directives are met.
  • Competent understanding of fixture design concepts and ability to use basic metrology equipment.
  • Approve inspection sheets, generate APQP documentation.
  • Ensure manufacturing counter measures are implemented and effective.
  • RMA’s, quality alerts, PDCA, on time completion of corrective actions.
  • Customer specific updates.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a Quality Engineering role.
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills
  • Knowledgeable of customer quality requirements (Ford, GM, Volvo)
  • Experience in writing process documents (work instructions, procedures)
  • Experience in preparing PPAP packages
  • Experience in writing and verifying procedures and work instructions
Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for extensive periods of time.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional bending and reaching.
Travel Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport.
  • Travel within the US and Canada up to 25%.
