B2B Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

- CV Invasive Rad Techs: BLS, ACLS, WV License, ARRT
- CV Invasive Rad Techs: RCIS not accepted (must have Rad Techs due to WV requirements with Xray Equipment)

Start date:  ASAP

Title: Charting System — EPIC

Unit Notes -

  • Submission requirements
    • Can submit to only one position at a time across the entire WVU system.
    • Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility.
    • Previous permanent candidates: must be gone for 2 years.
    • Previous travelers: if they were there for 1 full year, they must be gone for 2 years.
    • Individual unit requirements listed in Pulse apply.
    • Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission.
    • All submittals must include an unexpired copy of the driver’s license.
  • COVID vaccine
    • Required. Fully vaccinated = 2 Moderna or Pfizer doses, or 1 J&J dose.
    • For medical or religious exemptions, must complete and email the appropriate Exemption Form for council review.

Unit: Cath Lab & IR (Cost Center 133)

  • Suites/labs: 7 suites (holding rooms & 2 cath labs — 2 bays & 5 rooms)
  • Holding: 2 cath labs
  • Certifications / credentials
    • RN: BLS, ACLS, CV Invasive (as applicable)
    • Rad Techs: BLS, ACLS, WV license / ARRT (RCIS not accepted; must be Rad Tech due to WV X-ray requirements)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
    • Do you require RCIS for cath lab techs? (Note: RCIS will not be accepted for Rad Tech roles)
  • Case volume
    • Average 4–5 cases/day; some days as few as 2, up to 9.

EMR / Equipment

  • EMR: Cupid (EPIC & Dynamics; system is Xper)
  • Charge nurse / resource nurse: assignment flow and may assist with cases.
  • Cath lab/IR Techs: CV Rad Techs — scrub/monitor roles.

Schedule & call

  • Weekend requirement (RNs & Techs): Sat/Sun weekends, 07:00–07:00.
  • Call requirement (RNs & Techs): Monday–Friday 15:30–07:00; average ~15 call days/month (call days may decrease as permanent staff added).
  • Holidays: covered by 07:00–19:00 call.

Staffing & roles

  • Cath Lab team: 3-person team (2 RNs + 1 tech).
  • Respiratory Therapy: RT called in from ICU as needed; RT manages vents (stays in control room).
  • Pharmacy: 24/7; Omnicell on unit. Some meds mixed in lab; others by Pharmacy per orientation.

Uniforms / supplies

  • Scrubs provided: RNs wear navy blue; Rad Techs wear burgundy.
  • Telemetry: Phillips — unit hardwired at bedside.

Shifts & orientation

  • Shifts: Monday–Friday 07:00–15:30.
  • Floating: May float to Non-Invasive CV (e.g., to start IVs).
  • Orientation: Floor-specific. Two shifts with a preceptor, followed by a buddy call for Cath Lab.

Common cases (IR & Cath Lab)

  • All adult cardiac procedures (peripheral, catheterization, PCI, device procedures). Adults only.
  • Devices: ICDs, pacemakers. Not EP — no ablations.

Additional notes / questions

  • Familiarity with ACIST injector (automatic) preferred — training available.
  • Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.
