Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 3 years of interventional radiology or cath lab experience for a day shift assignment.

Details
  • Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
  • Facility is installing a new Siemens IR suite
  • Uses EPIC for documentation
  • Shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with start times varying between 7-9 AM depending on the day and shift length chosen
  • No current weekend requirements, though weekend call may be added in the future
  • On-call requirement of up to 2 days per week currently, with potential to increase up to 10 days per month once fully staffed
  • May assist with general x-ray duties when no interventional radiology procedures are scheduled
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience required
  • Active state x-ray license required, if applicable
  • Active Illinois license from IEMA required
  • ARRT Certification in Radiology required
  • BLS certification required
  • Associate degree required
  • Interventional radiology or cath lab experience required
  • Candidates with cath lab experience may be trained for the role
  • Interventional radiology-specific certification is not required
Additional Information
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures per established protocols
  • Maintains appropriate IV and contrast competency
  • Follows protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection
  • Utilizes PACS and EMR systems for documentation
  • Cleans and inspects departmental equipment and stocks imaging rooms
  • Performs general office duties as needed
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the patient care team
