Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R) certification and 1+ years of IR experience.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology unit within a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload of 5-8 cases per tech
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a rotating day off
  • Occasional shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • On-call required: 1 weeknight every other week, 1-2 weekends within the contract, and 1 possible holiday
  • Possible participation on disaster response team
  • No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
  • Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Experience with vascular access, embolization, dialysis procedures, and PE thrombectomy required
  • Experience with Y90 implant, trauma embolization, and TIPS preferred
  • ARRT (R) certification, SCQRSA, and BLS required
  • AHA certifications only
  • License required if applicable
  • Must provide own radiation badge, as the facility does not supply one to travelers

  • Facility is a teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
  • During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
