At WTCSB our mission is to provide a coordinated system of quality recovery-oriented care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. We are seeking a Team Lead for our BIRST Residential Home.

Responsibilities & Duties for BIRST Residential Team Lead:

  • Responsible for daily oversight and services including responding to critical incidents, ensuring effective program operation, service billing, and monitoring employee behavior.
  • Review referrals of new individuals to BIRST Residential Home and provide consultation and/or recommendations for appropriate treatment.
  • Provide onsite/hands on training as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain 24-hour coverage for BIRST Residential Home to include an On Call schedule.
  • Provide On Call support to direct care staff evenings, weekends, and as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage of associated programmatic responsibilities in the absence of employees approved to take leave.
  • Oversight of individuals' medical and psychiatric appointments with nursing staff.
Qualifications and Skills for BIRST Residential Team Lead:

Bachelor' s degree in a Human Services field or accredited School/College

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a residential program or similar setting

Knowledge of TBI and PTSD

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or QMHP-T

Valid driver's license with acceptable DMV driving record
