Job Summary: As the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager for our Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Program, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of trauma care delivery within Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. This role demands a leader with a strong clinical background, exceptional managerial skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies for the enhancement and growth of the pediatric trauma program in alignment with organizational goals and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the trauma care team, ensuring collaboration, effective communication, and adherence to best practices in pediatric trauma care.
• Drive initiatives to maintain and improve the quality of trauma care services, regularly evaluating protocols, procedures, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including but not limited to state, federal, and accreditation agency requirements.
• Oversee the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to support efficient and effective trauma care delivery.
• Develop and implement educational programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in pediatric trauma care.
• Foster collaborations with other departments, healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Analyze data related to trauma care, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance patient care and safety.
• Serve as an advocate for pediatric trauma patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and promoting a patient-centered care approach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional clinical experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level, required.
Education: Bachelor degree required; Master's degree preferred as an advanced practice provider. Graduate from either an accredited school of Nursing, an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licenses / Certifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant. Current BLS and ACLS Certification
