Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma-informed care to join our dynamic team at The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center. In this full-time role, you will provide therapeutic support to clients, helping them navigate the challenges associated with trauma, and contribute meaningfully to their recovery journeys.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, providing the flexibility to deliver care from a location that is convenient for you while connecting with patients who are in need of support. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of mental health professionals to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive care, which may include periodic in-person meetings or team consultations at our outpatient office.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and present needs, leading to the formulation of appropriate treatment plans.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment strategies tailored to support trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring that these are evidence-based and aligned with current best practices.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing effective therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring a holistic approach to each individual’s treatment.
• Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate psychological support as needed.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to promote overall awareness and healing.
• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes, in alignment with ethical and legal requirements.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to discuss ongoing treatment strategies and professional development related to trauma-informed care.
• Staying informed on the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure that client care reflects contemporary best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clients you will be serving are individuals, primarily youth and family units, who have experienced various forms of trauma. This may include survivors of abuse, neglect, family dysfunction, and complex trauma. Your role will be crucial in providing not just therapeutic interventions but also empathy and understanding to facilitate trust and openness.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following preferred experiences will enrich your candidacy:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities and experience providing trauma-focused therapies.
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
