Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, drawing upon your experience to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote client well-being and restore a sense of stability and hope.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

• Work collaboratively with a dedicated treatment team, participating in case discussions to create comprehensive strategies for client care.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, offering guidance and resources to facilitate their journey toward healing.

• Stay informed about the latest developments and research in mental health to enhance your practice and ensure clients receive the best care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Working in our hospice setting, you will engage with clients experiencing significant emotional distress related to terminal illnesses and end-of-life issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing trauma-informed support to individuals and families navigating these challenging circumstances, helping them process grief and find peace during a critical life transition.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in social work, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting.

• Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy and other evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that promote effective client interactions.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to think critically in dynamic situations.

• A team-oriented mindset that thrives in collaborative environments.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with additional training or certifications in trauma-informed care or palliative care. Experience working with hospice clients or in similar services will also be beneficial.
