Position Overview

Brightside Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team as a Trauma-Informed Care Specialist. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that encompass psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to understand each client’s unique situation.
• Work collaboratively with clients to tailor individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs, integrating cultural considerations to ensure sensitivity and relevance.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), in a variety of formats such as individual, couple, family, and group settings.
• Provide crisis intervention services, connecting with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for clients facing acute distress.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries that comply with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Empower clients and their families through psychoeducation, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate their mental health journeys.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with a diverse multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive client care.
• Conduct ongoing outcome assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and make necessary adjustments to clients’ plans to maximize positive outcomes.
• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and trends in mental health, incorporating this knowledge into clinical practice to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Uphold ethical standards by maintaining the confidentiality of patient information, creating a safe space for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client population at Brightside Counseling primarily consists of individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorders and various mental health challenges. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may be experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related conditions. By providing culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed care, our LCSWs play a pivotal role in fostering healing and resilience among clients.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work is required, along with an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while also embracing collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setup.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in trauma-informed care and knowledge of therapeutic interventions designed for clients recovering from trauma.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
