Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients’ trauma histories fully and determine appropriate treatment methodologies.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that are aimed at trauma recovery while building resilience in individuals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Facilitate therapy sessions that empower clients to process their traumas, develop positive coping strategies, and transform their healing journeys.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to provide integrated and holistic care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Respond to critical situations with crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping techniques, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality continuity of care.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care and the latest therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographic at Levan Counseling, LLC includes individuals who have experienced significant trauma, often leading to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Therapists will work closely with these clients to create a therapeutic alliance built on trust and understanding, ultimately guiding them toward meaningful recovery. By providing targeted interventions, therapists play a pivotal role in helping patients navigate their emotional and psychological challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatments.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for maintaining client documentation.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in providing trauma-focused therapy.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering evidence-based interventions specifically aimed at trauma recovery.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
• A capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress environments.
• Ability to engage effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
