     Runner

JOB SUMMARY


The runner position is responsible for running all the food to guest and help maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeping service area clean neat and organized at all times
  • Knowledge of menu descriptions and cocktails.
  • Help set up dining room
  • Clean polished spoons for service
  • Have a working pen
  • Knowledge of table numbers
  • Being able to smile thought your whole shift and leaving your personal life outside
  • Make sure you have birthday candles and matches and back up printer paper
  • Organize tickets, keeping track of what goes out
  • Helping the kitchen keep track of what needs to be fired
  • Assisting in service by bussing and resetting tables when available
  • General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
  • Wipe up spills
  • Sweeping
  • Wiping down the runner station
  • Take apart and clean coffee station


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Walk and stand for entire shift
  • Lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other utensils
  • Lift and empty trash cans
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting.
  • Work in a high intensity environment
  • Working indoors and outdoors
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
  • Frequent washing of hands
  • Clean and presentable appearance
  • Able to work efficiently in crowded and tight areas
