Lead Patient Transporter

Job Summary and Qualifications

As our Lead Patient Transporter, you will safely transport patients to assigned areas, maintaining patient privacy, dignity and respect, according to HIPPA regulations.

  • You will perform all transport tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with Infection Control policies and procedures using proper tools, body mechanics and lifting techniques. Ensure regulatory compliance, including JCAHO regulations as they apply to Transportation.
  • You will pursue opportunities for improvement, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in assignments, recognizing that priorities may have to change from time to time and that assignments are subject to change depending upon the needs of the hospital as determined by Department Leadership in conjunction with the Nursing Supervisor, Bed Control (Bed Tracker) and following Administrative guidelines.
  • Work as a team with other members of the Patient Transport and Environmental Services leadership, fostering a partnership with each other and resolving conflicts in a positive and proactive manner to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.

What qualifications you will need:

· Previous experience as a patient transporter in a healthcare facility is preferred

· College degree is preferred.
