Serving Greater Cleveland, we are seeking an organized, dependable, and customer-focused Transportation Dispatcher & Scheduler to help coordinate daily operations and ensure our riders receive safe, reliable, and timely transportation.

As a key member of our operations team, you will support drivers, solve real-time transportation challenges, and help ensure exceptional service for the individuals and communities we serve.

    What You'll Do


    Dispatch & Scheduling


    • Coordinate daily transportation routes using scheduling and routing software.
    • Schedule recurring transportation services and manage daily trip requests.
    • Make real-time route adjustments for cancellations, no-shows, vehicle breakdowns, emergency trips, and driver absences.
    • Assign drivers and vehicles based on customer needs, route efficiency, and vehicle availability.
    • Monitor dispatch operations to help maintain on-time performance.
    • Coordinate same-day and will-call transportation requests.


    Customer & Driver Support


    • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during dispatch hours.
    • Respond professionally to customer, family member, case manager, and driver inquiries.
    • Provide trip estimates and determine service availability for prospective customers.
    • Communicate scheduling updates and service changes to the operations team.
    • Foster a positive, professional, and customer-focused work environment.


    Operations Support


    • Assist with driver scheduling and route coverage.
    • Monitor route efficiency and schedule adherence.
    • Serve as a liaison with vehicle maintenance vendors.
    • Assist with staffing, fleet coordination, and operational planning.
    • Report incidents and maintain accurate operational documentation.
    • Support vehicle readiness during inclement weather conditions.


    Qualifications


    Required


    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn scheduling software.
    • Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.


    Preferred


    • Dispatching, transportation scheduling, logistics, or operations experience.
    • Leadership or supervisory experience.
    • Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT).
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
