Ali Medical Transport is one of the regional leaders in non-emergency medical transportation. We transport clients daily to dialysis, medical appointments, and group homes.
We seek a qualified and skilled Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator that'll be tasked with aiding in overseeing the logistics of our entire operations, which allow our company to be one of the largest non-emergency medical transportation provers in the central region of Virginia.
Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Creating routes and dispatching drivers efficiently and maximizing multiloading
  • Communicating with insurance providers, facilities, and clients to accept, reject, and acknowledge cancelled trips
  • Acting as the main point of contact for drivers and clients
  • Planning the next day's trips in advance by organizing a daily trip manifest
  • Creating routes and dispatching drivers while maximizing efficiency and multiloading
  • Assisting and delegating office responsibilities with the team
  • Cross-trans and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience dispatching, with logistics mindset
  • Ability to manage variables and factors while considering outcomes (type of van, number of drivers, driving time, time off)
  • Strong digital, phone, and written communication skills (answer 100+ calls a day)
  • Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area (zip codes, streets, regions)
  • Effective at managing competing, high-level priorities - must be able to manage periods of stressful workload
Hours:
  • 5:00am to 7pm (5am-12pm & 12pm to 7pm alternating shifts)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Work until final trip is dispatched
  • Potential to work weekends
