We believe that holding a seat at your dinner table is the ultimate compliment, and we strive to help families create wholesome, fun, and authentic eating experiences.DESCRIPTION:The Transportation Clerk supports the daily operations of the transportation department by coordinating documentation, maintaining accurate records, assisting with administrative support to ensure efficient and compliant transportation services. They maintain records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and preventive maintenance schedules.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Process and manage purchase orders for transportation-related items such as freight services, vehicles, parts, and operational supplies.Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to confirm rates, availability, and delivery schedulesMaintain accurate procurement records and track all purchasing activities, including invoices and delivery confirmations.Verify shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.Monitor inventory levels for transportation equipment and parts to determine when to reorder.Compare supplier bids for freight services or parts, evaluating price, quality, and delivery terms.Communicate with internal departments (e.g., dispatch, operations, finance) to align purchasing with operational needs.Resolve discrepancies in orders, deliveries, or invoices promptly.Support cost optimization by tracking spending and identifying potential savingsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and GP Dynamics is a plus.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and work well with others in all departments as well as with suppliersStrong critical thinking and negotiation skills.English is required, and being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Strong planning and organizational skills.Ability to work independently.Job Type: Full-timeBENEFITS:401(k)401(k) matchingPTODental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance"This is not remote position"
