Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team in the Ohio area, working on transportation projects for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), municipalities, and other clients.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee and manage traffic engineering studies and design projects from planning phases through final construction plans.
  • Be part of project teams to ensure project completion by the defined deadline, within the established budget while providing a high-quality product for our clients.
  • Meet with clients, both internal and external, to understand project needs and provide guidance and strategy on transportation related aspects of projects.
  • Understand and communicate the study and approval processes for various studies required by regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to project proposals, including developing scopes of work, fees, and schedules, as part of project development for a wide variety of projects ranging in size and complexity.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • 3+ years’ experience in civil and traffic engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) required and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer Registration (PTOE).
  • Experience working with both public and private clients.
  • Experience working with both local and state agencies.
  • MicroStation and Geopak experience, required.
  • HCS software and Synchro VISSIM and/or TransModeler experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be part of a high-performing team.
Salary Range

The starting salary for this position is $80,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
