Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern to join our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Your Role
  • Assist with traffic forecasting, operations, and crash assessments with supervision
  • Create graphics, maps, spreadsheets, databases, or tables to assist with technical report preparation
  • Participate in project site assessment activities, pre and post field work activities, site assessment, and data processing
  • Utilize software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ArcPro GIS, SYNCHRO, etc., organize files, and use standard business writing to contribute to technical report production
  • Assist with public engagement activities, including but not limited to the ability to use social media to research or promote activities, speak to a group, or communicate with individuals of the public, special interest groups, etc., and create informative materials

About You
  • EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION: Must have completed 90 hours towards a Civil Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Environmental Engineering, or other related degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: Applicant should have experience reading a map and/or construction plans. Experience with traffic operational analysis is desired but not required.

Additional Information
