Job description

Branch Operations Supervisor
Liquid Environmental Solutions
Location: Knoxville, TN
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm (some evenings and weekends as needed)

At Liquid Environmental Solutions, we are building the most reliable environmental services network in the country. Our teams support restaurants, municipalities, and commercial businesses by safely managing non-hazardous liquid waste and protecting the environment.
We are seeking a Branch Operations Supervisor to help lead daily transportation operations and support a team of professional CDL Service Technicians. This role works directly with the Branch Operations Manager to coordinate routes, support drivers, ensure compliance, and maintain exceptional customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands transportation operations and CDL driver environments and is ready to step into a leadership role.
Candidates with a current CDL or prior CDL driving experience are strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
As a Branch Operations Supervisor, you will help keep the branch running smoothly while supporting both drivers and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assist in managing daily driver routes and service schedules
• Support drivers in the field and help troubleshoot operational or equipment issues
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Perform route observations and vehicle inspections to maintain service quality
• Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager to manage branch performance and operational goals
• Help monitor branch performance including expenses, service delivery, and revenue goals
• Ensure drivers present a professional image and represent the company well at customer sites
• Communicate with customers to address concerns and ensure excellent service
• Coordinate with fleet maintenance teams and vendors to keep equipment operating properly
• Maintain operational supplies and equipment inventory
• Review and manage operational paperwork including logs, work orders, and reports
• Assist with driver training, coaching, and development
• Provide leadership support during emergencies or operational issues
This role also requires being available for occasional on-call support during nights or weekends when operational needs arise.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands transportation operations and enjoys leading and supporting field teams.
Strong candidates will have:
• Supervisory or management experience
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking operations
• Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple operational priorities
• Strong communication skills with drivers, customers, and leadership
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Highly Preferred
• Current CDL (Class A or B)
• Previous CDL driving experience
• Experience supervising CDL drivers or transportation teams
• Mechanical or equipment familiarity
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
• Transportation or logistics industry experience strongly preferred
• Mechanical or equipment experience is a plus
Work Environment
• Combination of office and operational field environment
• Interaction with drivers, equipment, and transportation operations
• Some light lifting and bending may be required
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills
