Atlas Industrial Outsourcing is looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator for one our partnering companies. This will be a full-time position that requires punctual attendance reporting to the office every day, Monday - Friday with some weekends. ย ย 

The Logistics Specialist plays a key support role in the day-to-day execution of transportation operations. This position helps coordinate shipments, maintain accurate systems and documentation, support communication between customers and drivers, and assist in keeping freight moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation Coordination
Support day-to-day load execution across trucking and logistics operations
Help coordinate pickups, deliveries, appointments, and shipment updates
Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal team members regarding load status
Assist in minimizing delays, service failures, and communication gaps
Support execution across heavy haul, intermodal, drayage, van, local, regional, and OTR freight as needed


2. Dispatch & Operational Support
Help monitor active loads and support dispatch activity
Update schedules and communicate changes as needed
Assist with route planning and shipment visibility
Support equipment readiness and load coordination efforts
Escalate service or execution issues promptly


3. Documentation & Systems
Enter and maintain accurate information in the transportation management system
Support processing of BOLs, PODs, shipping records, permits, and related documents
Ensure data accuracy across loads, customer information, and shipment records
Assist with administrative workflow tied to transportation operations and compliance


4. Customer & Carrier Communication
Provide professional communication and timely updates to customers and partners
Help maintain positive relationships through responsiveness and follow-up
Assist in resolving service-related issues in a timely and professional manner


5. Reporting & Process Support
Help track operational data and assist with reporting needs
Support KPI visibility related to service, utilization, documentation, and execution
Identify errors, gaps, or improvement opportunities and communicate them appropriately

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer support, brokerage support, or supply chain
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort with business systems and data entry
Experience with transportation management systems; Alvys experience is a plus
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
Customer service orientation
High school diploma required; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or business is a plus
Equivalent experience will be strongly considered
