Summary:
Specializes in domestic, miscellaneous, and international shipments, including preparation, documentation, shipping, and receiving. Provides support with the maintenance of logistics policies and compliance regulations. Executes systematic transactions for all internal and third-party shipments while following established process guidelines. Works with multiple carriers and customers, with frequent interface among customer service and supply chain partners. Prepares and maintains statistical reporting related to inbound and outbound shipments. Drives operational feedback and cross-functional coordination to ensure integrity of material flow consistency and issue resolution.
Primary responsibilities for this role:
Shipment Execution & Compliance
  • Oversee all outbound shipments prior to departure for proper packing procedures, loading, and documentation
  • Performs systematic shipping transactions in SAP
  • Maintains all applicable documents and databases that support the shipment process using appropriate systems

Carrier & Stakeholder Management
  • Works with multiple different freight forwarders and contracted carriers to ensure on-time shipments and fulfillment
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues on international and domestic shipments
  • Interacts with carriers and internal and external departments to ensure freight payment and billing procedures are maintained and in accordance with company compliance guidelines

Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Conducts route utilization and efficiency analysis to maximize inventory and cost
  • Prepares and maintains statistical reporting related to inbound and outbound shipments
  • Participates in on-boarding new carrier processes and generates reports on carrier performance

Claims Management & Problem Resolution
  • Issues and disposes of freight claims by thoroughly investigating causes of damage, shortages, and freight overcharges
  • Performs assigned tasks using established procedures with judgment, evaluation, and critical thinking

  • Partners with International Customer Service in planning and scheduling cold-chain export orders

Occupational Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States.
