Job description

This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, North Carolina office.

Overview:

Logistics Coordinator II is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of activities required to process and distribute bulk materials, raw materials, and finished goods globally. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including Materials Management, Customer Logistics, Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Quality Assurance, Distribution Operations, Manufacturing, and transportation providers to ensure customer requirements and shipping schedules are met efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

Shipping and Transportation Coordination

  • Utilize routing guides to ensure compliance with customer routing, shipping, and delivery requirements.
  • Use various Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to route and schedule shipments.
  • Monitor requested ship dates and shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery performance.
  • Coordinate pickup appointments with carriers and transportation providers.
  • Communicate with Customer Logistics and Transportation teams to resolve shipping and carrier-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Shipping and Order Fulfillment teams to ensure orders are planned and executed according to customer requirements.
  • Creates and tracks PO's for Distribution

Documentation and Compliance

  • Prepare and process shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments, including:
    • Bills of Lading (BOL)
    • Dangerous Goods documentation
    • Commercial invoices
    • Certificates of Origin
    • Export documentation
  • Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Initiate shipment confirmations promptly to ensure Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) are generated and invoicing is completed on the same day freight departs the facility.

Order and Inventory Management

  • Utilize multiple software platforms to monitor order processing, shipment status, and inventory activity.
  • Review and update shipment and order information in business systems, including SAP and other transportation platforms.
  • Coordinate order releases and processing activities to support shipping schedules.
  • Support inventory management activities, including resolving inventory discrepancies and maintaining case-pick locations.

International Quality and Shipping Support

  • Verify finished goods orders meet international age and quality requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory selection methodologies, including LIFO requirements for designated markets.
  • Monitor and verify accurate batch number recording on shipping documentation.
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) for raw material and finished goods shipments.
  • Coordinate with international customers and markets to provide required documentation and shipment support.
  • Prepare statistical analyses and reports related to inspections and quality metrics.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Develop and maintain shipping performance reports, including:
    • Monthly Shipping Reports
    • On-Time Delivery Reports
    • Promotional Program Tracking Reports
    • Track Aging of orders
    • Coordinate /Update reports for DM business
  • Monitor shipping metrics and proactively communicate risks that could impact customer service or delivery performance.
  • Provide management with updates regarding schedule adherence and potential service concerns.

Safety and Compliance

  • Understand, practice, and uphold all company safety policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes and documentation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SAP and other Warehouse/Shipping software applications.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments, external customers, and transportation providers.
  • Hazmat Certification

Shift hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

The base pay range for this position is $26.00 / hour; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled). Other benefits offered to employees include but are not limited to the following: long-term disability, supplemental life insurances, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, etc. Employees are also able to enroll in our 401k Retirement Savings Plan.

Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
