AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8-12 years' experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office.  The position is full-time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.

Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC Required
  • 8 to 12 years' experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
Responsibilities
  • Leading multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi-modal roadway projects
  • Serving as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agencies
  • Managing all technical resources on the project team including subconsultants
  • Preparing task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets
  • Developing project management plans for assigned projects and preparing monthly progress reports
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules
  • Leading or participating in client meetings and presentations
  • Providing quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables
  • Mentoring and training junior staff
  • Assisting with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics / renderings, etc.)
  • Assisting Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals
  • Maintaining a positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
