Job Summary:

Medtrans is seeking compassionate and reliable Paratransit Wheelchair and Gurney Van Drivers to join our medical transportation team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transportation services for individuals with mobility challenges, including those who require wheelchair and gurney transportation. This role is vital in ensuring our clients have access to medical appointments and essential services, enhancing their quality of life and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Transportation: Safely operate a paratransit van equipped for wheelchair and/or gurney transport, ensuring the well-being of passengers during transit.
  • Client Assistance: Provide necessary assistance to clients during boarding and exiting, including securing wheelchairs and gurneys according to best practices and safety regulations.
  • Professional Conduct: Exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all passengers.
  • Timely Service: Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times, ensuring timely transportation for medical appointments and other essential services.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
