Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hourly

Location: Oakland, CA

Schedule: Night Shift | 5:00 PMโ€“3:30 A

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee night shift transportation and warehouse operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising daily workflow, coordinating dispatch operations, managing delivery routes, and ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time execution of all operational activities. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and can effectively manage both warehouse personnel and drivers while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all night shift warehouse and transportation operations.
  • Dispatch drivers and manage delivery routes to maximize efficiency and on-time performance.
  • Monitor daily transportation schedules and make real-time route adjustments as operational needs change.
  • Oversee warehouse workflow to ensure productivity, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers during the night shift.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly while making sound decisions to minimize delays and maintain service levels.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, labor planning, and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, DOT regulations, and operational standards.
  • Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Complete operational reports and maintain accurate transportation and warehouse documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and company software systems to monitor performance metrics and maintain records.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment while leading and supporting team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, warehouse, food distribution, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Experience with dispatching, route planning, and transportation coordination.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
