Position Summary:
Assist the Bus Driver in providing safe transportation for students, especially those with special needs on school bus routes, ensuring proper boarding, seating, and conduct of passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely; help secure wheelchairs or special seating as needed.
  • Monitor student behavior during transport; assist in enforcing rules, maintain a safe environment.
  • Assist driver with route changes, schedules, and passenger management.
  • Keep the bus clean; help maintain order on the vehicle.
  • Report incidents, lost items, student behavior issues, or vehicle concerns to driver or dispatch supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to interact positively and patiently with students.
  • Ability to assist physically as needed (lifting/assisting students, securing equipment).
  • Good communication skills; dependability and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
