Job Description:

The Transportation Assistant is responsible for assisting the Transportation Manager in coordinating transportation operations for Mid Kansas Auto Auction. The Transportation Assistant is also responsible for administrative duties relevant to maintaining smooth operation of the Transportation division.


Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Transportation Assistant fills in for the Transportation Manager.
  • Obtaining and completing onboarding materials for Transportation and other back-of-the-house department employees (HR facilitates - assistant implements)
  • Inventory & Check Out of company assets (safety vest/drive away tags/lockers, etc.)
  • Facilitation of 30-Day Driver Test
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prioritizing and multitasking Transportation related work duties
  • Parking Permit (tracking and distribution)
  • Miscellaneous administrative office work duties and/or office errands on property as needed
  • Perform driving duties as needed
  • New hire employee application tracking
  • Safe T. Sam test tracking and implementation (for all back of house employees)
  • Model and enforce all Mid Kansas Auto Auction company policies
  • Other miscellaneous administrative office work duties and/or office errands on property as needed and assigned


Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Clean Driver's License
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interaction skills required
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs, squat, kneel and walk for prolonged periods of time, must be able to lift 5-10 pounds. Vision abilities required
  • Good computer and software knowledge
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and noises
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license
