Job description

Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience

Description:

We are a direct employer (not an employment agency) seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant for our Colorado Springs office. This position is responsible for processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, along with general office and administrative accounting support.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment posting
  • Process accounts payable, including bill entry and payment processing
  • Maintain accurate records related to Colorado sales tax
  • Provide general administrative and office support as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • Strong experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and Colorado sales tax
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows; Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification preferred
  • Minimum keyboarding speed of 55 WPM
  • Advanced organizational skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a professional demeanor
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English with advanced spelling and proofreading skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office
