We are looking for a Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 intern who wants to grow their knowledge of marketing and communications while making an impact. As part of our marketing team, you'll work with experienced writers, video producers, and digital marketers to create compelling content and materials that propel our mission forward and tell its story.

We are located in the heart of Austin's Mueller neighborhood surrounded by parks, restaurants, shopping, and more.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuring this internship, you can expect to:
  • Participate in regular team meetings and standups, gaining experience in an Agile work environment.

  • Develop a comprehensive storytelling project, including internal and external communications and multimedia production.

  • Help with graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Cloud, creating visually appealing marketing materials.

  • Support website management efforts, including content updates and basic optimization tasks.

  • Contribute to video production projects, from conceptualization to editing and post-production.

  • Provide copywriting and editing support for marketing materials, including social media posts, blog articles, and email campaigns.

  • Help with digital asset management, managing our media library.

  • Collaborate with team members on presentation design for internal and external use.

  • Gain exposure to community affairs and corporate citizenship programs.

  • Gain exposure to customer experience and user experience projects, such as research and UX writing.

  • Gain exposure to the workers' compensation industry and how marketing and communications drive business impact.

It's required that you:
  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree as an incoming Junior or Senior in marketing, communications, digital media, public relations, or similar area of study.

  • Provide samples of your work or provide a link to your portfolio or website.

  • Have strong writing and editing skills.

  • Have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and After Effects.

Internship details:
  • Duration: 24-week fall and spring internship to begin September 8, 2026.

  • Location: Austin, TX; in-person; potential for limited remote work later in the internship.

  • Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible).

  • Compensation for this role is $26.00 an hour.

Individual base pay is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role.Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.

Texas Mutual's flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
