Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance intern will support Finance Operations and Financial Planning as needs arise.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Ongoing education in accounting or finance is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Experience:
No job experience required. Understanding of financial statements and financial forecasting a plus.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support to the following departments within Finance Operations and Financial Planning when needed, including ERP implementation, day-to-day functions, and special projects:

Finance Operations:
  • General Accounting
  • Treasury
  • Research Finance
  • Payroll
  • Special Funds
  • Asset Management & Insurance
  • Tax

Financial Planning:
  • Forecasting & Modeling
  • Budget & Financial Analysis
  • Revenue & Reimbursement
  • Decision Support
  • Contracting
  • Finance Systems

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Experience with MS suite including excel functions like pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to exercise superior judgment, discretion, interpersonal skills.
