Job description

Working Title: Shop Mechanic
Supervisor: Equipment Manager
General Description of Position: Help diagnose, repair and maintain our equipment fleet and concrete batch plant.
Essential functions and responsibilities listed below:
  • Disassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces components in gasoline engines, diesel engines, and concrete batch plant
  • Helps the lead mechanic troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate record of such service
  • Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed

Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate hand tools to repair equipment or machinery
Safety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience and Training: Diesel experience desired, but we will train if needed, certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
