Job Summary
Will be responsible for performing the required mechanical duties in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all company programs, policies and procedures.
What you will do
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with policies
  • Execute repairs to specifications
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Communicate directly with the Supervisor if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Keeps work area free of discarded parts, coolants and lubricants to ensure a safe working area, and to adheres to OSHA and shop regulations.
Additional Requirements
  • .May be required to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle upholstery
  • May be required to provide transportation services, including fuel and washing, for district vehicles.
  • .May be required to provide towing services to district vehicles
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Other Graduation from an accredited automotive training program Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 1-3 years Two years applicable experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing gas and diesel vehicles Required
Skills and Abilities
  • Must have a working knowledge of automobiles
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Licenses and Certifications
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Current Tennessee Required
  • Class B CDL License with a P endorsement within 1 Year Preferred
Equivalency
    Starting At: $22.34

    Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
