Description:

The Logistics Technician is responsible for supporting daily QPS Logistics operations through inventory management, kit assembly, and shipping coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within multiple computer-based inventory and tracking systems. The Logistics Technician plays a critical role in ensuring study materials, laboratory kits, and supplies are prepared accurately and delivered on schedule. This is a PRN position.


Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand the guidelines of the study protocols and laboratory manuals.
  • Maintain and update inventory records using Excel and various inventory management platforms
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering laboratory and operational supplies 
  • Assemble laboratory kits and study kits according to protocol-specific instructions and quality requirements 
  • Prepare, package, and ship study kits, laboratory supplies, and clinical materials in compliance with company procedures and shipping regulations 
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain accurate shipping documentation 
  • Coordinate and communicate through email with internal departments, vendors, and study teams regarding logistics activities 
  • Verify accuracy of kit components, labeling, and shipment contents prior to distribution 
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency 
  • Assist with tracking lot numbers, expiration dates, and inventory reconciliation activities 
  • Support study startup and ongoing study logistics requirements as assigned 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements 
  • Perform additional logistics and operational support duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Combination of relevant education & experience that provides sufficient knowledge & skills to ensure incumbent’s success in this role, such as: 
    • High school diploma or equivalent, with some experience in an environment requiring confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail
    • Previous experience in logistics, inventory management, laboratory support, or shipping/receiving preferred
  • Experience in a Regulated industry laboratory preferred 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment preferred
