Our nationally accredited team is currently seeking an Independent Contractor (1099) mental health therapist/counselor to provide therapy services for adolescents and adults in individual treatment! This position focuses on providing group therapy for pre-adolescent clients.
Our Mission: At Transitions Counseling and Consulting, we provide accessible, skilled mental health services for children, teenagers, and adults at convenient locations throughout Arizona and Texas. Our mission is to provide safe, high-quality mental health services in an ethical environment that embraces diversity; and to train the next generation of therapists to do so competently and confidently.
Why Work With Us?
  • Flexible Hours: You can choose to work 16-40 hours per week with no-show protection. A minimum of 1 day (6 hours +) in the office and 10 hours telehealth.
  • Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Hourly / Billable)
  • Anticipated Duration: Ongoing
  • Compensation: The hourly range is $40 to $60 per hour, depending on experience and licensure type.
  • Professional Growth: Professional training opportunities, plus free monthly CE hours up to a total of 24 free CE hours per year. Our onboarding process includes 8 continuing education hours in courses sponsored by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), accessible to you for free when you join our team! Our goal is for every clinician to experience lasting growth in their clinical skillset, beginning on their very first day with us.
  • Supervision and Support: Free supervision for LACs, LMSWs, and LAMFTs.
  • Collaborative Culture: Join a team with a strong, supportive culture and robust back-office support for care coordination, scheduling, and billing.
  • Clinically Driven Leadership: Work for a business run by experienced mental health professionals who understand the nature of delivering mental health care, ensuring your clinical work and professional growth are guided by empathetic and supportive leadership.

Your Role:
  • Therapeutic Excellence: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Evidence-Based Care: Provide individual therapy to teens and adults using evidence-based practices to address depression, anxiety, and social challenges.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for your clients.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor advanced graduate interns.
  • Location: This role requires regular in-person attendance at the designated office location in accordance with an agreed-upon work schedule at the time of hire.

Qualifications:
  • Must be licensed in Arizona as an LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Provide current level one fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable.
  • Continuously maintain active cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification.

What you Bring:
  • As a contractor, you must provide your own malpractice insurance, your own equipment (laptop /phone), and have a dedicated home office space when providing telehealth services remotely.
