Job description

JP Logistics & Consulting, LLC (JPLC) is looking for a part-time Bus Driver to support the EAGLE contract at Fort Gordon, GA, in support of Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation.
Location / Place of Performance: Fort Gordon, GA

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, assigns and dispatches motor vehicles and drivers to fill requests for movement
of passengers and/or freight.
Essential Functions:
  • Ensures that passengers and accompanying baggage are properly loaded and secured and that
    the vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity.
    • Completes driver commitment records, dispatch documentation, and preventive maintenance
    service records.
    • Performs driver maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
    • May drive other sizes and types of vehicles on which properly trained and licensed when
    required by the workload.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
• Two years of driving experience with at least one year of experience in driving buses with a seating capacity of more than 25 passengers.
• Must have a safe driving record.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license (Georgia/South Carolina Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with "P" endorsement.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a military driver's license within 15 days for the size and type of
vehicle to be operated.
• Must be medically qualified in accordance with company and government regulations.
• Specific positions may require the individual to work rotating shifts.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (either a GED or three years of work experience that demonstrates the ability to write, read, and comprehend written instructional documents, perform common mathematical tasks, and to communicate effectively).
