Chisholm, Minnesota
Internal Posting Job # 316 Part-Time & Casual Bus/Van Driver
Independent School District No. 695 is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Part-Time Regular or Casual Fill-In
School Bus Driver to transport students safely on morning (AM), daytime, or afternoon (PM) routes.
Current employees who do not currently work 40 hours per week are eligible and encouraged to apply.
Reports To: Superintendent
Rate of Pay: Hourly $50 Per Run / 2 Hours
Schedule: As Needed for AM, Daytime, or PM routes.
Required Qualifications and Core Skills
Must possess a valid Minnesota license.
If driving a bus, you must hold a bus driver endorsement or be willing to get one before starting; District support is available.
Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the staff, students, and peers.
Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Successful completion of a physical exam indicating the ability to perform all assigned duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate a school bus or van on assigned AM and PM routes, adhering to established time schedules and traffic laws.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student passengers while in transit.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus/van as required by regulation and district policy.
Ensure the bus/van interior is cleaned, free of debris, and ready for the next run.
Maintain order and discipline on the bus/van in accordance with district student conduct policies.
Communicate effectively and professionally with students and school staff.
Follow both oral and written instructions accurately.
