Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeksย a Full Time Director of Service. This position will be based out of our Marshall, MI location.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for Director of Service to manage all Service Operations within all locations to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement service policies and procedures
  • Evaluate Service Department productivity and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
  • Ensure compliance with OEM requirements
  • Provides input to annual operating budget for the Service Department
  • Stay up to date with OEM and industry developments
  • Monitor Service Technician training for OEM compliance
  • Monitor and ensure all MTE locations are meeting revenue and delivery goals
  • Coordinate with each location to receive or maintain Prestige rating with OEM
  • Identify employee for future leadership roles and develop their skills and knowledge for advancement within the company
  • Special projects as assigned by Senior Management
  • Ensure all Service employees are following Company Safety Procedures
  • Travel to locations regularly (roughly 75% of time traveling)

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • Experience in the Bus, Medium/Heavy Duty truck or automotive industry
  • Previous Operations or Service Manager experience preferred
  • Must be located within MTE operating region
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office โ€“ Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
