Job Description:

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

  • European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old (a V.I.E mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)

  • Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

  • Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28

The contract duration of this VIE is 18 months.

A VIE for a Finance & Accounting Transformation Project Officer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Americas Inc. in Herndon. You will join the Finance department.

Being fully part of the Finance department, this role provides comprehensive support for Accounting & Transformation projects. You will assist the team in managing the various project phases focused on the end-to-end (E2E) Digitalization of the Accounting process.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

  • Coordinate and monitor Digitalization & Shared Services projects actions by phase, ensuring appropriate pace and plan adherence.

  • Monitor defined deadlines and deliverables, identifying deviations and drafting regular project performance reports.

  • Identify, analyze, and escalate project risks and delays, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate impacts.

  • Provide project communication and organize regular meetings to ensure an effective interface with internal Finance teams, US entities, and external auditors.

  • Establish and maintain long-term project governance, standardizing the organization and archiving of documents.

This role will involve some travel for business in United States and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level (Master's or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Project Management or Business Administration.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting or Digitalization projects (apprenticeships and internships included).

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (desirable).

  • Solid Systems & IT skills (SAP, Excel, Google Suite).

In addition you are capable to demonstrate the following skills:

  • "Can Do" attitude : confident and solution-oriented

  • Analytic skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Language Skills: negotiation level of English.

Un poste sous contrat VIE Charge(e) de Projets Transformation Comptable & Finance (h/f) est a pourvoir au sein d'Airbus Americas Inc. a Herndon. Vous rejoindrez le departement Finance.

Pleinement integre au departement Finance, ce role apporte un soutien complet aux projets de comptabilite et de transformation. Vous participerez activement a la digitalisation de bout en bout (E2E) des processus comptables au sein d'un environnement international.

Missions et responsabilites

Vous serez en charge des activites principales suivantes :

  • Coordonner et suivre les actions des projets de Digitalisation et du Centre de Services Partages par phase, en veillant au respect du rythme et du plan.

  • Suivre les echeances et les livrables definis, identifier les ecarts et proposer des plans d'action (redaction de rapports de performance).

  • Identifier, analyser et signaler les risques et les retards du projet, en proposant des solutions proactives pour attenuer les impacts.

  • Assurer la communication du projet, organiser des reunions regulieres et les calendriers d'activites, optimiser le temps et la participation de l'equipe afin de garantir une interface efficace avec les equipes Finance internes, les equipes du Groupe Airbus, les equipes comptables de toutes les entites americaines, les consultants, les auditeurs externes et les organisations internationales.

  • Mettre en place et maintenir une gouvernance de projet a long terme, en normalisant l'organisation et l'archivage des documents et des informations afin d'assurer la clarte et la tracabilite chronologique.

Des deplacements professionnels sont a prevoir aux Etats-Unis et, de ce fait, vous devez etre dispose(e) a vous deplacer en consequence.

Competences requises

Vous avez les experiences et les competences suivantes :

  • Titulaire d'un diplome Master (ou equivalent) dans le domaine de la Finance, Comptabilite, Audit, Gestion de projet ou Administration des affaires.

  • 1 a 3 ans d'experience en Audit, Comptabilite ou projets de Digitalisation (apprentissages et stages compris).

  • Connaissance des methodologies de gestion de projet (souhaitable).

  • Solides competences sur SAP, Excel et Google Suite.

En outre, vous etes en mesure de demontrer les competences suivantes :

  • Esprit d'initiative ("Can-do attitude")

  • Esprit analytique

  • Excellentes aptitudes a la communication

Competences linguistiques : Niveau negociation en Anglais (requis pour le contexte international)
