What will you do?

A day in the life of the Manager, Global Logistics Procurement Projects at VF looks a little like this.

The Manager, Global Logistics Procurement Projects leads strategic procurement initiatives and cross-functional logistics projects that optimize global transportation, brokerage, and logistics services while reducing total cost, improving service performance, and supporting supply chain resilience. The Manager will partner closely with cross-functional teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement logistics transformation initiatives across multiple regions.

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Lead global transportation and logistics procurement across air, ocean, ground, parcel, warehousing, brokerage, and 3PL services, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and carrier diversification.
  • Develop and implement logistics solutions that improve service levels, supply chain efficiency, lead times, fill rates, and total landed cost while supporting inbound material flow and business objectives.
  • Manage strategic relationships with logistics providers, overseeing pricing, contracts, performance, KPI reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and network optimization efforts.
  • Lead global logistics procurement and transformation projects from planning through implementation, managing timelines, budgets, stakeholder communications, milestones, and change management activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Operations, and regional teams to align logistics strategies with organizational goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze transportation spend, market trends, and network performance to identify optimization opportunities, develop business cases, and drive cost savings, value creation, and informed sourcing decisions.
  • Establish and monitor logistics budgets, financial performance, supplier scorecards, and operational metrics to improve decision-making and overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Drive supply chain resilience through supplier governance, risk management, business continuity planning, contingency strategies, and new supplier implementations.

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field and 7+ years of experience.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex logistics contracts.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems and procurement platforms.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience managing global transportation providers and freight forwarding agreements
  • Familiarity with international trade, customs compliance, and Incoterms
  • Experience with SAP, Cass, Coupa or similar procurement systems.
  • Familiarity leading complex global initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Hiring Range:

$92,000.00 USD - $115,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, orcommissionpotential.
