Job description

Meador an Openwork Company is seeking a dependable Transfer Operator to join a busy industrial facility in the Baytown area. This is a hands-on position working both indoors and outdoors, transferring materials from hopper railcars to packaging lines. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical labor, working in varying weather conditions, and following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Connect and disconnect hopper car compartments to packaging lines
  • Safely connect and disconnect cargo hoses
  • Monitor material transfer operations
  • Perform general labor and support daily operations
  • Follow all safety procedures and operating guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift 55100 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to climb stairs, kneel, and work at heights
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work rotating shifts
  • Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require
