Job description

Hidden Valley Transfer Station, a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring a reliable and motivated Laborer to support our operations in Puyallup, Washington. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
This is a full-time, year-round position ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are team-oriented, and are committed to providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Saturday through Tuesday. 7:30 AM to 6 PM with opportunities for overtime
Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labor tasks at the transfer station, including site cleanup and equipment support
  • Safely flag and direct traffic entering and exiting the facility
  • Assist customers with unloading and disposal processes
  • Operate minor equipment as needed
  • Occasionally drive within the landfill area (requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record)

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physically demanding outdoor role
  • Comfortable working in environments with strong odors and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand and work outdoors for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations if needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
