Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking an ADMISSION & TRANSFER SPECIALIST to join our ADMISSION AND TRANSFER CENTER team!
The Admission and Transfer Center Specialist is responsible for coordinating patient placement and provider consultations while delivering superior customer service. This role requires strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to remain calm, professional, and confidential in a fast-paced environment. Frequent interaction with internal and external healthcare partners demands a courteous and collaborative approach. The Specialist uses sound judgment within established protocols and maintains proficiency in phone systems, Epic documentation, and transfer workflows.
HOURS: Full-time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period, Varied (all) shifts
Experience/Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous switchboard or information systems experience preferred.
  • Healthcare experience required.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, including patients, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
