Hiring Immediately for Paratransit CDL Bus Drivers!

$5,000 sign-on-bonus paid out in 6 increments.

Transdev drivers are a specialized team of people! We operate paratransit vehicles serving people with disabilities throughout Nassau County, NY. Each day our drivers transport individuals who rely on our service to doctors’ appointments, work, grocery stores, and much, much more! Transdev is proud to offer

Starting hourly rate $23.4463 with progression to $25.4366 over 4 years.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transporting passengers in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the service area
• Assisting in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly secure wheelchairs and scooters
• Notify dispatch of any incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• A valid NY State CDL Class C or higher driver's license with passenger endorsement in good standing is required.
• Must present an original Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) issued within the last 30 days
• Previous bus or heavy-duty vehicle driving experience preferred
• Excellent customer and communication skills
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules
• Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
